FIRS Headquarters Abuja

The design of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), now the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) Headquarters in Abuja, stands as one of ATO Architects’ most historically significant projects, representing a landmark achievement in Nigeria’s contemporary public architecture. Conceived through a design competition won by ATO Architects in 2011 and culminating in its inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2026, the Grade-A development embodies a bold vision of modern governance, institutional excellence, and national progress. Its distinctive composition of three interconnected office towers rising from a shared podium, crowned by a unique roof-level helipad, has established a striking architectural identity within Abuja’s Central Business District. Beyond its impressive scale and functionality, the headquarters demonstrates ATO Architects’ ability to translate complex governmental requirements into an enduring architectural statement that promotes efficiency, sustainability, and civic pride. As one of the largest and most recognizable government office developments in Nigeria, the project has become a defining feature of the nation’s capital and a lasting symbol of the firm’s contribution to shaping Nigeria’s built environment.
